Re: Knives in a Nutshell
Not ignorance... 1 in 10000 might have known who he is. He is a custom knife maker in Norway. Makes fabulous Norwegian Puukko's.

Re: Knives in a Nutshell
Just a quick question, is there a difference between normal Global knives and those that are labeled as forged? ![]()

Hey, Ben,
What do you think of Shun knives? The Ken Onion? I am very attracted to their weight and balance...

Re: Knives in a Nutshell
question for bennybo or anyone else that knows about knife
ive settled for henckels 4* range. found this deal which looks attractive
http://www.cooks-knives.co.uk/acatalog/ … 5168_2d100
however according to the original post, henckels sold out in a way and stamped their brand on low quality knives. if i purchase the above 4* knives, am i sure to be getting the real deal?

Zwilling Henckels is known to be one of the best knife brands. Anyway, germans are known for making very good quality knives. I have 2 FourStar for quite a long time and I'm happy with them. Rarely happens to find good offers for such knives, but I'm still avoiding buying such products online. I like to see them with my eyes before paying the money. Have a look on their website if you are not sure http://www.zwilling.com/en-GB/Company-p … y_profile.
I also can recommend you Victorinox http://www.victorinox.ch/index.cfm?page=0&lang=E. They're making knives for the swiss army.
Cheers
