Re: Eid Mubarak
What is it? I'm guessing something to do with Ramadan. And what special foods are involved?

Re: Eid Mubarak
Eid celebrates the end of the Islamic holy month of fasting , Ramadan.
Ramadan is as far as I know a period of 40 days of fast where no food or liquid can be consumed within the hours between dawn until sunset .
The actual day of Eid is not known precisely until it has been announced as it depends upon the cycle of the moon.
It is observed by Muslims throughout the world as well as well as non-Muslims in Muslim majority areas.

Re: Eid Mubarak
Well I hope that I got it right Eddie !
We have many Muslim children in the school that I work in . I have tried the fast for a day or two in the past , its hard , the worst is not being able to drink.
I think it might have helped if I had woken up in time to have a drink before dawn , but , I am not good in the mornings.
