Re: Great Seafood Restaurants in London

Other people may correct me but generally seafood restaurants are pretty expensive in London... I have been to JK Sheekeys in Covent Garden which was very very good but it was EXPENSIVE - we went about a year ago and we had a starter each followed by fruits de mer (sp??) with lobster and  then cognac and wine. This cost around £180 for two... Although I love seafood, I don't  know of any good seafood restaurants which are not too expensive....

however, there is a great fish market in Billingsgate! You have to get there pretty early - on Saturday mornings we are there for 5.30am and you have to buy in bulk but you can get some really amazing fish for not too bad a price! I think it's only open for commercial business during the week but again I might be wrong! There is also a good fish market in Borough Market near London Bridge but again, as it's quite tourist-y it's not the cheapest! Hope this helps
