I know drinking lots of water and many fruits are good for the skin, but what foods are they??? I'm not actually sure, I only ever have been told coffee is good for celulitis and chocolate and fatty foods give you acne.

Diaforetics (sp?) things that make you sweat are good for the skin. Also raw leafy greens, and yellow vegetables, high in vite A. Drinking aloe is nice for ridding you of those poisons and healing the inner tissues. In general cleansing the body is good for skin. so the blood cleansers are good like red clover tops and parsley. Topically, chickweed is good for skin, and calendula for infections especially is good.
Those masks of avocado, oats, and almond butter work nicely and taste good too.
Love is good for the skin.

BBC2 had a programme called Grow Your Own Drugs last year. They had some super recipes for food/plant-based cosmetics.
Have a look here:

The 'B' vitamins are really important for good skin and they help to maintain muscle tone (saggy muscles=saggy skin)..things like brewers yeast and nutritional yeast (the flaky yellow stuff) contain tons of B vits and you only need a tablespoon or two a day to get the amount you need.
Vitamin C is a collagen builder so make sure you get plenty of fresh fruit, salad and raw veggies in your diet. I prefer to drink mine so i make smoothies and raw juices instead. Cucumber juice contains lots of silica which will not only help to keep your skin clear, it'll give you shiny hair and strong nails too .
Vitamin E is good at repairing wrinkles and dry skin. Avocado's,fatty fish ,seeds and nuts contain lots of the stuff (and selenium) so try and eat some every day. You can even apply Vitamin E directly on your skin. Just pierce a capsule and spread the oil on your face...btw,it stinks like hell
...i often use it in the winter when my skin gets really dry. It cost a LOT less than those fancy little oil capsules you can buy and it does the job just as well.

I tried nutritional yeast a while ago - I never had such a bad skin before.
Looked like a teenager with wrinkles then. So I stopped swallowing yeast pills and the acne disappeared. Has anyone experienced the same? ![]()
