JamieOliver.com dating.....
Hi everyone,
Exciting new developments on the site as later today we will be launching a dating section on the site. Jamie says: “There are millions of single food lovers in Britain, so here’s a chance to bring them together and start a few relationships and maybe even the first Jamie Oliver and match.com marriage. Food is great at bringing people together. I can’t wait to hear from people who have met and fallen in love through the new dating site.”
Cooking and eating together is always a great ice breaker when it comes to the first date and we are really looking forward to this new venture.

wow what a great idea. Love it, maybe it'll also encourage some of the single veterans to come back, they've gone quiet these days.

One of the first times I went round my first girlfriends house I had dinner with her parents, i'd never tasted pasta that good and it was sparked a lot of convo, definately a great ice breaker

Will you give out vouchers to the restaurants for dates as incentives? Or "coupons"?
I've long ago given up on such frivolities or would that be necessities, but will there be sections for all the countries that write here?

Was told over and over again that since I can cook, it should be easy to find someone new.

I have met my OH not through cooking but we´ve met in a community like this one, we had a forum-meet-up in Hamburg to celebrate the New Year together and that was when it hit us! Up to that point we were just getting along great on the forum, but there has never been anything else.
In fact we got fixed up! One of the forumers thought it was a shame I was still single so chose a couple of blokes from the forum and invited them to the meet-up, he thought one of them should do! We had no idea until we made an announcement on the forum that we were together and his response was "job done!" and we were like "????"
It´s gonna be 9 years soon...... he can be a right pain in the a***, but he´s defo the best that´s ever happened to me!

Actually, this kind of grosses me out. I hope it doesn't dilute the seriousness or classiness of the website. Meeting a forum member at a gathering is one thing, but a dating section, no, I don't like the idea at all.
