Re: What to seed, what to plant, what to reap, any questions for me?

Hi

I live just North of Stockholm, last year I planted 2 of my favourite veg, spring cabbage & spinach anticipating a good yield in the spring. To my dismay not one shoot, I know we had a heavy winter with temps down to minus 25*C but there was almost 1metre of snow, which should've protected the plants. Spinach I replanted &  got several good harvests.
The question being is spring cabbage not hardy enough for the climate?

Re: What to seed, what to plant, what to reap, any questions for me?

Can I use the apricot, pork and chestnut stuffing for a turkey breast roll rather than a whole turkey. If so, do I cook the pork beforehand as it will not be in the oven for a very long time.
Thanks JoAnna help

Re: What to seed, what to plant, what to reap, any questions for me?

Hi Robin,

We live in central west NSW Australia (about 4 hrs from the coast and the other side of the Blue Mts west of Sydney) ....last year we grew zucchinis and had a good harvest. This year the plants are growing well but we seem to have mostly male plants which will not bear fruit.  The only reasons I can think of is that they are planted too close together or maybe because of the wet spring and summer we have had??? hmm Or is it just no reason, sometimes that happens!!!! I would appreciate your help.
Thanks
Janiz

That happened to me a couple of years ago too Janiz. I had three plants and it took ages before I got a male and female flower out on the same day! I have a feeling they began with all males too.
But eventually they got the balance right. smile
