I have some lovely Savoys this year too.
The "earlys" are ready now, with a second crop that will be ready around xmas/January.

Re: Just got one.....
I was always too busy digging cropping watering to take my camera with me in my campo, and my orto is a little neglected this year, even if I'm experimenting a green manure(??) in the bedds where the summer and autumn vegs have finished thir season, it's the first time
and I'll tell you what happens in spring ![]()

Re: Just got one.....
Arrggghh,, we have had RATS in my greenhouse where we were storing our apples, pumpkins and marrows......the cheaky things have eaten every last apple but left me every bag they were in...Lol...also nibbled into two of my small pumpkins but big boy must have been a challange as we only have one scratch/teeth mark on him..so everything has been brought home now.......
had a look yesterday no sign of re-entry so I think they have moved on , we were also suprised that we had yet another raspberry on our bush which Hubby ate but stated it was tasteless not much happening now only sprouts and chard oh and a small bush of curly kale left so i think we have done very well this our first year just think what we can acheive next season.....
Charlie will need a make over next year poor thing has took abit of a battering over the last few months but he still has to look after our plot untill next year...I wonder what santa will bring for him because he has been very good...
