Sounds like something Heston Blumenthal would do ![]()
I also heard that sulphur keeps the mites away (so keeping matches around your flour could help - there's sulphur in the heads).

I wouldn't be surprised if he did. You could use them to make super airy foams.
Yeah, I wouldn't keep match heads in my flour. They're hardly food grade. Plus they are phosphorus mostly.

From a new site that i have discovered says that;
a fresh leaf bay leaf in each storage container of beans or grains will deter weevils and moths.

bay leaves also deter ladybirds, they dont like those leaves so i may leave some around the house later this year so not to have them hibernating.
