A Capri in front of my fav. Cheese shop
How cool is that. I used to drive a 2.8i back in the day, drove like a bag of sh1t. But it was a head turner.

Rockers and Rollers: An Automotive Autobiography. By legend Brian Johnson. Looks like a funny read. His down to earth hummor always is a pleasure to hear. As is the band for that matter. There is I believe some cooking in it,probably in the haggis chapter.

Back in the day, before his rise to fame in ACDC, he sang in a local band called Geordie. I wasn't that keen on them but he had a great voice, even then. I saw them live a couple of times in local clubs...I don't think he's much of a cook ![]()

Best thing about this thread so far is the reference to the Cheese Shop!

Just a note ... The Ford Capri was copied from a big American car..Ford Mustang..the Capri was a good car 'prestige' during the years 70/80 in GB...2 doors, medium moter..just citing my hubby who is 'into' cars

I don't think the Capri was as cheesy as some of the american cars of the era... ![]()

Re: A Capri in front of my fav. Cheese shop
On the subject of Capri.
This was one of the places I visited on my first overseas school trip.
It rained but we also had some nice weather when we visited the Blue Grotto.
Very beautiful, very memorable.
I was 14 and I still have a "food memory" of some wonderful pork cutlets.
Wonderful. I've tried but I haven't yet come close to recreating their delicious flavour.
Such was the exchange rate of the Lire that when we went shopping for presents I remember receiving tiny bottles of Amaretto instead of small change. ![]()
