Please recommend a good wooden spoon
Every girl needs a good sturdy wooden spoon to stir her fudge with. Sadly, my favourite big daddio get broken during last night's "revelry" after we ran out of birch sticks...but that's another story.
Apparently there's a Welsh outfit called Bruvli (sp?) that uses only the finest willow in their wooden spoons. Has anyone heard of them?
Please help, I'm desperate! The toilet plunger's been a poor substitute, to be perfectly honest.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum nigella marmite
I don't think you have to buy a special wooden spoon at all , just buy a reasonable one from a local shop and that will work just as well .

Speaking of utensils, what style of potato masher is your preference? My old Mum (God rest her) always used an old one (probably originally belonged to her mother) which resembled a bit of bent wire. During my travels I found a similar design which was more modern (and more expensive). I would now not use anything else.

There were a few 'odd' accounts registered yesterday, no doubt by the same sad troll, responding to his or her own posts. None of them are ever signed in at the same time!

I like my wooden spoon ... well, it's wooden, and that is enough for me.
