Did you ever see the TV cooking show "Two Fat Ladies" Kye?  Jennifer used to have rings on every finger and long polished nails.  Yuk.

Oh yeah, and when they have their hair flapping about all over the place.  Or how about on those shows where they kind of reach under the counter to wash their hands, and it takes them like 10 seconds, 

Sandy, they are capable of worse.. male cooks wash their hands before going to the toilet, who knows if they wash their hands to continue preparing foods!!

Brit, you are right with rincing hands, they have more than often been manipulating raw meets, rince their hands (not wash) and continue preparing vegs or deserts...with meat residue still stuck under their nails.
