The "Sweaty saddles" reference is a description often used by UK wine writers to describe the aroma of "Certain" Burgundies....
Edit...Did I wish you luck in your new job??? I think I may have forgotten.....
starting a new job at any age can be daunting.....
I decided against the next sentence in my head..... ![]()

Love your sense of humour wine et o.
If i tell my family that our wines have an aroma of sweaty saddles
i really can not imagine their reaction
or perhaps yes, i know a few that would be shocked!! I may repeat the 'sweaty saddle' thing to a close friend named Protheau in Mercurey.
I am looking forward to my new job, i know that i will love it. Thankyou ![]()
