Nans Xmas Pudding
Hello, I have just made Jamie's xmas pudding and it looks and smells great. Can I store it until Xmas Day and if so how? This was my first attempt at xmas pud. Many thanks.

If you dosed it with booze it should keep until Christmas provided that it's stored in a dark place, maybe in a tin? You have to keep on feeding it with a little booze every now and then to keep it moist and happy. I hope it helps!

Thank you for your response. I have been checking the pudding and adding some brandy to it. Looks and smells great! I have currently made two more puds and added much needed booze! Thanks again and I hope you have a wonderful xmas.

Re: Nans Xmas Pudding
gaviota_uk. Never heard of dosing a Christmas pud before. Christmas cake, yes but not a pud. The pud should now be in it's basin, with clean pleated greaseproof paper and then foil over the top and secured with string. Shouldn't touch it now until required. Am I missing something here? I've always made Delia's recipe which doesn't suggest feeding.
