it seems to be fine now.. They are obviously working on the forums as evidenced by the new feedback button on the bottom right and a few other things I have noticed.
On the bright side, I remember a upgrade years ago where a day or two of posts was lost .

I still have to press submit twice. First time doesn't work, rectangle gets smaller and word 'submit' disappears, but then it works.
