What a bad year for viruses and infections

Please stay home and don't cook for others or handle things others will touch if at all possible while you are contagious.

Re: What a bad year for viruses and infections

yeah, I have noticed. this year even I have gotten sick twice, the last I had a cold was 12 years ago. but working in a place like Seaplane Harbour, 450000 visitors already. cant help it, lots of children too, dont want to blame visitors but it is part of it.
I have drank all my herbal teas I collected last summer, I only have some...I dunno. there is still a bit of peppermint.

and now they raised the price of ginger up to the sky. bad luck. how can one cure colds without ginger? mind you I am allergic to most pills and medicines.

You might try to grow ginger indoors in a pot.  I've been wanting to give it a try.

I grow ginger and garlic in pots (outside because climate allows). It's not difficult. Worth a try ...

Here's a good bit of information.  You use one of the 'fingers' of the ginger root.

Sorry to hear that Abs! Hope you all get better soon. thumbsup

running the risk of being laughed at  wink I strongly recommend you guys to take a look at this book: Your Body's Telling You: Love Yourself, by Lise Bourbeau.

After all, even modern science agrees that most dis-eases are psychossomatic.

Re: What a bad year for viruses and infections

Well my friend, ask those who were crippled or killed by Polio, who died from severe cases of flu, science has saved many lives, no matter what the source of disease.  I truly believe some of this stuff is just something our immune systems can't fight and science has also shown that genetics play a role in our immunities as well as other factors.  Yes, those who are depressed use the medical system more than others, that is proven, but honestly, so much of it is simply a matter of understanding hygiene, prevention and care for the sick that protects, aids healing, etc.
