drink/cocktail shaker

I saw them on sale at a local store here and wondered if they're worth it. I hardly drink cocktails (gin and tonics being the closet thing regularly), but they seem fun to have.

Are any non-boozy drinks to make with this thing? Or any boozy drinks besides martinis? I'm willing to experiment, somewhat.

Or, can someone set me straight and tell me if it's really worth it to have one?

Re: drink/cocktail shaker

I would only buy one if you are going to be making quite a few each week. Otherwise it will be in the cupboard just looking good Webbfoot. smile

Re: drink/cocktail shaker

I was given one in 1982 as a gift. Don't think I've ever used it. Certainly didn't bring it with me when I moved. I don't drink cocktails or spirits, though.

Weigh it up before you buy. Personally, I'd invest in a meat thermometer (see your roast thread). Not as pretty but more useful (to me wink ).
