Apple Glazed Cookies

2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 cup chopped apples
1 cup raisins

Glaze:
2/3 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon milk

Preheat oven to 350*  Cream together butter and sugar.  Add in the egg.  Combine the flour, soda, salt and all the spices and gradually add to creamed mixture.  Stir in the apples and raisins.  Bake for 12-15 minutes.  Cool.  Then pour the glaze overtop the cookies

I've taken down the thread I started yesterday. I didn't know this one existed. Guess that further illustrates the fact that I've only recently gone back to baking after a hiatus of almost 30 years (!). Apologies to those who posted on my thread.

Oh no! Maree, I've just been trying to post on your Cookie thread & it wouldn't let me! I was very happy to see your thread - Montana wouldn't have minded + we are going into a "new decade-of sorts/2015 next year" since Montana started her cool cool thread here!
