Re: book "turning up the heat"?

Its a biography of Jamie, written by Gilly Smith.

Thus far, tyere are two biographys:-

    * Stafford Hildred, Jamie Oliver: The Biography (2001) ISBN 1-903402-55-7
    * Gilly Smith, Jamie Oliver: Turning Up the Heat (2006) ISBN 0-233-00168-9

Butno autobiography yet!

So, Geoff, which would you buy sight unseen from the 'net? The more recent?

TIA.

Turning up the Heat, I think (& I could be wrong) was an unauthorised biography.

Am I correct  question

Re: book "turning up the heat"?

I suspect there is, as yet, no authorised biography.

Mind you, I am not really interested in reading Jamies biography anyway - would rather read (and cook) his recipes!

But, for those interested, here's yet another one:-

Jamie Oliver: The Kitchen Crusader :The Unauthorised Biography

Re: book "turning up the heat"?

Michelle thanks for your reply. Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I have decided against buying, too, Geoff. With no disrespect at all to Jamie, I think those of us who became fans with "The Naked Chef" all of those years ago, Jamie has continued to reveal as much of himself as I need to know. It's his recipes and the way he is investing his own money and time into good works such as "Dinners" and "15" that are of more interest and admiration.

I'd rather donate the $??? For a biog to the Fifteen Foundation. I think he needs to maintain what little privacy he and his family has and to be allowed to do so with dignity.

OK, will step off the soap box now.
