Party Food!Any suggestions?

Hello everyone,

How are you doing? Could you all lovely people give me some ideas about what would it be good/tasty/cool to eat on a house party?

I am having around 15 friends coming over to my (new) appartment and i was thinking of making some finger food, or light munchies.

At the moment i only think about a pasta salad, but i am stuck after that?

Any ideas???

Many thanks, Gini thumbsup

Pinwheel pizza's

puff pastry sheets
pizza sauce (tomato paste, mixed dried herbs & garlic)
shredded mozzarella
finely diced: ham, pineapple, onion, capsicum, mushroom, olives (whatever you like)

cover 3/4 of each sheet with a small/thin amount of topping, roll up.

at this point you can roll them in foil & refridgerate

slice them in 1 cm slices, lay flat on baking trays & bake at 180 degrees C until golden, about 15 minutes.

You could slice then up, then wrap & freeze them ready to go.

Re: Party Food!Any suggestions?

I posted this recently in another thread, here is the link.

These 2 items would have to be the most popular things at family events, and maybe lemonade scones, which I do with ginger beer. But they are more for afternoon tea/baby shower type things.

Re: Party Food!Any suggestions?

I live in california and I have a great tex mex reciept.

1 16oz tub of sour cream
1 packet taco seasoning
1 large can of refried beans
2 cups os shredded cheese ( mont jack and cheddar)
fresh tomato
black olives
scallions or chives

Mix sour cream and taco seasoning. Let sit for about five minutes while you assemble the rest of the dish. In a large shallow dish, spread out he refried beans with a spatula in an even layer. Spread the taco mix over the beans in a even layer as well. Then cover the whole mixture with the shredded cheese. Then top with diced fresh tomato , olives and scllions. I serve mine with totilla chips but carrots are good too.
