Re: Ready, Set, Cook Discussion Thread

Well I did my pumpkin! It doesn't look quite as good as JO's, and probably isn't quite as tasty either. But it was excellent enough for my first try.

Joy, your pumpkin dish is indeed excellent, and as this is a challenge we are learning by doing, and hopefully encouraging others to give it a crack smile

Mrs master, how about doing a gluten free recipe week? To give people a bit of a feel for those kinds of recipes (not all of them need special ingredients). We could use the gluten free thread for the recipe source.

Added to the list for next months challenges WR.  We have our two themes for next month.  We are still lacking 2 ingredient challenges.

Good cooking Yammy and Shammy thumbsup

Im piking out of this weeks challenge, I was going to do the parsnip soup but I have done my self a major strain from being overzealous with the weights  oops .  I can barely walk, will be sitting on my bottom for most of the weekend so Im able to make it to work on Monday.

Poor MrsM, didn't you know that exercise is evil  evil

I don't think I will manage this week's challenge so had better pick something out for next week.  Joy's stuffed butternut pumpkin looks fab  yummy

Re: Ready, Set, Cook Discussion Thread

MrsMaster, I do hope you are recovering okay! You will be able to spend the weekend looking up Kugel recipes!
I am trying to get my head around the 2 ingredients you need. Is there some underlying thing about how the two ingredients go together? Is it that they are already together in a JO recipe?
PS I worked out why my stuffed pumpkin photo looked so different from the original: that one was taken before it is cooked and the colours are less blended etc. Ha! lol

Re: Ready, Set, Cook Discussion Thread

Thanks guys, Ill survive, more hurt pride than anything else.  I've been using the time to watch some bushtucker man videos.

Thanks WR, consider them added, what recipe section do you want to use along with it?

Maybe someone can come up with 2 ingredients for a dessert, just to mix things up a bit.
