Re: Whats For Supper?

At the request of my 9 year old who has had a sore throat and is obviously getting better, we are having "haute cusine"  -  fish fingers and chips!!!!!  I'll do home made oven chips but he has put his foot down at home made fish strips, it must be fish fingers......  Oh the things we do for our little darlings.   roll
Anyway I'll do some stir fried veg in an effort to keep some balance. Dunno what to do for ourselves yet, OH will be late tonight again. Whichever of us is off usually eats with the boys, but since the shift changed at work wo do make a point of having an adult dinner once a week. So it'll be me with a cuppa, robbing chips from the lads plates today.
We get the six of us around the table, kids and Mam and Dad maybe twice a week.  big_smile

Re: Whats For Supper?

HELLO, I am starving. fish fingers sounds delicious.  How about a big fish finger sandwich with chips on the side. YOU HAVE TO SAVE SOME FOR YOURSELF.YOU NEED YOUR STRENGTH. I am working late tonight so my supper is sausage mash and onion gravy. My kids are in their 30s so they are not at home but oh I remember it well.

Re: Whats For Supper?

Tonight I'm taking it easy, some left over bloody mary soup. A quiche, salad and french bread that I bought at a local delicatessen shop this afternoon.

Re: Whats For Supper?

Homemade ham & bean soup with fresh multigrain bread or cornbread (I made both this morning), with cheese and fruit.

Re: Whats For Supper?

Meat loaf and mashed potatoes.  Craving some comfort food.  Need to think of a veg besides potatoes.  Something easy.

Re: Whats For Supper?

Change of plans since we had the black bean soup for lunch, dinner will be sauteed pork chops, rice with sage butter, field greens salad, a blood orange and lime juice sauce will factor in either for the salad or pork.
