Mincing Garlic and Onions

how do you take the stench out from mincing/chopping garlic and onions question

I have heard that rubbing your hands with stainless steel will take out the smell but I haven't tried it.

Yes, I have heard the lemon one, just don't have any nicks or scratches on your hands! I also rub them with parsley - figuring that if it helps with garlic breath it should work on the hands.... and I think it does! smile

What stench do you speak of?  As far as I'm concerned they should make cologne out of onions and garlic.
