Re: Pasta machine, which one should we choose?

It is Marcato Atlas 150 Wellness
"Beautiful and completely safe because it is the only Pasta Machine totally produced with materials which do not release harmful metallic residue"
That is what is written on the side lol
I am only going on the recommendation of the guy in the shop, and what a pretty little machine it is, strong, it does screw clamp on to the bench, it has all the warranties etc. I will let you know how I go making pasta!

Joy, love your new machine.

But I am wondering about this metallic residue problem. How much of a problem is it? It seems to me alot of people use a lot of different pasta machines without any ill effects. Just interested before I buy a pasta machine myself. Knowledge is power.  big_smile

I've used an Atlas for 30+ years. Simple and gives good results.

Joy, IMHO, you made a good decision.

O Thankyou Maree!
I have been assailed by worries and the guilts (balanced perfectly by feelings of wicked pleasure!) - so this is just what I want to hear!

Jutta I have no idea what the metallic residue problem would be! (But glad if I haven't got it!)

Re: Pasta machine, which one should we choose?

Hi Joy, the Recipease class was very straight forward and I have the handout with tips, recipes and method, do you want me to scan and email it to you?

Also have you looked at Jamie's pasta recipe on this site:
