California Almond Flavored Champagne
Someone gave us a bottle. It has a little sticker that says, California State Fair Gold Medal.
Has anyone ever tried a flavored champagne or sparkling wine? Should we drink it or use it in cooking?

I have a bottle of almond sparkling wine and another of strawberry both by Simon Levi Cellars. Got them for our wedding two years ago. Both remain unopened. No State Fair medal mention, though. Let us know.

What did mrp say to get those people so annoyed with you
I'd open it and take it on from there. If you don't like it you can always make cookies...almond sparkiling wine cookies do exist, Champagne Sabayon are really tasty too.

hey, I didn't say anything! honestly, I give and give to these people, and this is what we get! I think it's best use is to fill up that open space in the wine rack.

Dear mrp, this is what happens when we don't think before we speak...our friends award us with 'certain' gifts....has it got a date on it by the way?
