Re: FAQ's pertaining to Jamie

Hi, new to all of this , so I hope I'm on the right forum.  My daughter is 11 and has just been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.  Any ideas for pudding recipes etc. that I could do for her, she's really down at the moment as she feels she can't eat have anything "nice" any more so an adapted Jamie recipes would be brilliant!! thank you xx

Hi Gez, Welcome here! smile
Similar questions have been asked on this forum. I think this thread has the most useful links http://www.jamieoliver.com/forum/viewto … 28&p=1

My heart goes out to your daughter, it is so frustrating to have a chronic illness and such hard work. Say Hi to her from me!

She is a good age to be learning and researching and trying out recipes, so I hope she can soon have success at finding delicious things to eat.

btw I have to avoid sugar (for reasons not diabetes related) and by concentrating on the foods I can eat, I am finding so many delicious things that I don't bother making sugar free versions of other things.
But I did have to go through quite an extensive grieving period!

Best wishes and all good things
