Re: Whats For Supper?
Slow braised pork chops with onions, celery, apples, garlic and fresh thyme, cooked with chicken stock and a little wine in the oven until everything was caramelized and reduced. Steamed asparagus with lemon and butter, jasmine rice.

how long does it take to steam asparagi?
approx.ly do not tell me how cuoco Roberto is used to answer silly questions like this, "as long as it takes to be cooked!
" that means you have to be there with a fork to try every five mins, is it so ![]()

Re: Whats For Supper?
Asparagus ... Oh yum .. I love asparagus .
My father used to have a large asparagus bed in his garden sadly after he died the people who bought his cottage dug it all up and threw it on the compost heap !!
They did not like asparagus !!!
Supper tonight will possibly be an Indian takeaway as I am with my son .. Rasa express I hope . Rasa do some wonderful curries .
( Let's hope he remembers that's what he suggested !

Re: Whats For Supper?
I came home last night exhausted by a meeting, but I got hungry before bed and made fried rice with green beans and egg, and it was just the thing! (looking for bliss emoticon).

This took only 1 1/2 minutes. I generally only cook asparagus - thin or thick until it's just tender - no more than 2 minutes in the microwave or steaming over water in a saucepan.
