Roast leg of lamb with gravy, leeks, garlicky creamed spinach, roast carrots and roast potatoes, followed by chocolate mousse and pistachio & raspberry parmentiers.

BBQ - big fat beef sausages, lean pork sausages with herbs & garlic - very nice - garden salad (boring) jacket potatoes with butter, AND DICED CHICKEN MARINATED IN SOY, GINGER & GARLIC THREADED ONTO BAMBOO, BBQed & SERVED WITH PEANUT SATAY DIPPING SAUCE

Dahl with veggies, panak paneer, "Indian" cauliflower with tomatoes, herbs and spices, basmati rice. Think I'll be (happily) living off leftovers for quite a few nights.

Leftover Indian dishes I made two nights ago. Freshly cooked basmati.
Food trivia (not so trivial): I read a while ago that the biggest source of food poisoning from take away places in NSW was rice! Made me think twice about buying "discounted" sushi or other "rice based foods" at 4pm on the way home from food courts.. Now only cook what I'm going to eat that night or can turn into something else by lunch the next day (eg "fried" rice). The rice cooker is my friend.
