Celeriac
Hello,
I live in Ladysmith South Africa and use Jamies recipes often I am wanting to make Celeriac Remoulade (from 30minute meals) but I cannot get celeriac should I use celery or a combination of cabbage and celery does any one have any ideas? ![]()

You could try mixing celery with turnip
Celeriac is basically the root of celery. But some varieties grown for the root and others for the sticks.
If you have a garden you could easily grow this yourself...

Welcome to the forum MandyWoodall:)
Celeriac is a firly large .knobbly rounded shaped root vegetable.
Similar in taste , but milder in flavour to celery.
You peel it and either use it raw in salads or you cook it .
It can be mashed like potato and will give a similar texture to mashed potato .

Read that celery without the stringy bits and cut up with an added potato does the trick.
Love celeriac, love preparing it...just like cutting up an enormous brain ![]()
