Celeriac

Hello,
I live in Ladysmith South Africa and use Jamies recipes often I am wanting to make Celeriac Remoulade (from 30minute meals) but I cannot get celeriac should I use celery or a combination of cabbage and celery does any one have any ideas? help

You could try mixing celery with turnip whistle
Celeriac is basically the root of celery. But some varieties grown for the root and others for the sticks.
If you have a garden you could easily grow this yourself...

Welcome to the forum MandyWoodall:)

Celeriac is a firly large .knobbly rounded shaped root vegetable.
Similar in taste , but milder in flavour to celery.
You peel it and either use it raw in salads or you cook it .
It can be mashed like potato and will give a similar texture to mashed potato .

Read that celery without the stringy bits and cut up with an added potato does the trick.

Love celeriac, love preparing it...just like cutting up an enormous brain yikes

I was thinking of suggesting that but was not sure it would work  thumbsup Well done Kye for coming up with a solution
