My name is Greg...new to this site. I have been a working Chef for 35 years in the United States...I am a misplaced Scotsman. Just wanted to say hello and see what is going on, share or (forgive me) steal a recipe here and there. so hello!

wave hi Greg and welcome to the forum, as Danny quite rightly says we are a friendly bunch and if not swapping recipes or advising each other then a quick chat is always nice.
We can go off track at times which makes it all more the fun. lol

Hi all
My main reason for joining is that I have recently (march 26th) ordered a woodfired oven (Dome 60 by Jamie Oliver) and I am hopeing to pick up some great tips and ideas for cooking in the woodfired oven,
I intend to post some of my own experiences with our new member of the family!!!!!
My one and only moan (promise)
If we ever get it (12 weeks to date), and we have had to chase them all the time for information on delivery, the last time we spoke it should have been here for the 11th June?
In this day and age how hard can it be to drop those that have placed orders an e-mail with an update.    Over.

Can't wait for the oven and the posts.

I have to say that I have been a fan since the naked chef days and it's awesome what Jamie has done, it was through watching those shows
I started enjoying what that could be produced with just a little thought, time and a few good cook books.

Anyone out there already got a woodfired oven?

Congratulations Jamie. I am from Argentina and I always follow your shows. Really very interesting. I like your style. I can´t find a recipe you made while in Greece. It´s a cake with yoghurt and some pistachios you used together with honey on the surface. Can you help me with that? Thank you. Hugs and kisses from Argentina.
