Tonight we're having a slow roast shoulder of pork with roasted Brussels sprouts (with hazelnuts as youngest is home), roasted cauliflower and roast potatoes for OH and youngest, with apple sauce and gravy on the side. Pudding will be rich chocolate pots.

Hey Maree!
Hum... apple tart in the oven - the smell in the kichen is fab.. friend dropping by for a cuppa later
will make salmon tonight (fillets cooked in foil in the oven with sliced fennel, lemon juice, szechuan peppercorn and a little creme fraiche & parsley at the end), with some boiled rice and wilted greens...
and there is a proper French cheese platter, decent bread and a bottle of wine awaiting for later...

Making a chicken and sausage gumbo with potato salad for work tonight. House smells so good, I'll have to try a bowl before I go to work.

Re: Whats For Supper?
She requested, she ate and she left with lots of leftovers that should see her through a few dinners
. Yes, my daughter has just left for the drive back to Sydney.
Tonight I'm going to raid what's left in the cupboard and fridge and make falafel fritters:
800 g/1 lb 12 oz canned
chickpeas, drained
1 small onion, chopped
grated rind and juice of 1 lime
2 tsp ground coriander
2 tsp ground cumin
6 tbsp plain flour
4 tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper
4 sprigs fresh basil, to garnish.
tomato salsa, to serve.
Cous cous and a green salad.
