Re: Whats For Supper?
Am making "Moroccan Mussels with Tapenade Toasties" from Jamie's 15 Minute Meals.
Recipe serves 4, so I'm (vaguely) 1/4ing it as I'm home alone tonight. Am not a fan of cucumber so am skipping the cucumber salad that goes with it and substituting his "Crunch Salad" (from the same book) but without the Parmesan.
At the last moment, I decided not to do the tomato tapenade for the toasties because of the big tomato "presence" in the "Crunch Salad". Just rubbed some sourdough with cut cloves of garlic and cooked them on the grill pan.
A "do it again" meal

Son arrived unexpectedly today. Rush to catch butcher before they closed- osso buco ober polenta with steamed greens on the side.
Macerated oranges with toasted almond slivers for dessert to cut the richness of mains.

Re: Whats For Supper?
My daughter and her boyfriend are now engaged (and SO happy!). His mother is visiting from Canberra and I had them all over for supper on Friday. I made a pumpkin curry, curried peas and cheese, a whole lentil dal, chicken korma, and lots of basmati rice. It all turned out well! That was supper on Friday night, and it was leftovers last night!
PS And yoghurt/cucumber salad with herbs.

Congratulations to your daughter and her boyfriend, Joy!
A late dinner for me: ramen noodles with some leftover veg and tomato-flavored olive oil (the later was found at the LA County Fair).

Re: Whats For Supper?
My son took most of the leftovers of last night's osso buco back with him today. But I managed to snaffle enough for myself to have over rice tonight.

Re: Whats For Supper?
Last night was home made sausage rolls using minced steak and veggies for filling and tonight was pasta with meat sauce, won't call it bolognaise because that could start another debate on the nature of that sauce.
