they, we are finally allowed to open a ... the first panettone and heat it a little in the oven, if adults ask for panettone before that morning comes the young make him her  saying these are not the rules they have been thaught, even the ones brought home the last day of work, are kept there waiting ............ we have time to be fed up with panettone after the Xmas holidays are gone and we do not dare to step on or even look at a bilancia

We tend to opt for porridge, but then, we're Scottish. Slaves to the mighty oat.

I'd say any treat breakfast will do. I'd recommend pancakes (dropped scones, as Kye said) or maybe French toast or toasted pannetone, as all these are easy to do for a crowd.

In my house we have a bacon sandwhich every year, its really the one and only time I eat a bacon sandwhich.  Boxing day is the same.  I do fancy a change this year, I think on boxing day I am going to make homemade cranberry granola with natural yoghurt with honey my 6 year old would love this!!! I am also considering making Jamies pear pancakes with natural yoghurt and honey as these are delish!!!!!

It all sounds good, we usually have something simple but filling like croissants or fruit and tea or rice porridge or toasted Christmas bread.

The strict rule is no presents until after breakfast is finished and lunch is in the oven cooking slowly. I am an evil mother  to make them wait.
