Re: Whats For Supper?

It was going to be moussaka, but the aubergines had rotted in the fridge (not impressed with that), so now it will have to be a bolognese sauce over some courgette "noodles".

Re: Whats For Supper?

Tonight I'm having friends over and am doing Jamie's seared Asian tuna with coconut rice and jiggy jiggy greens from 15MM which he made on the programme the other night. Really hot today so am just serving a platter of fresh summer fruit for dessert.

Lots of left over bananas, lots of snow and a little space inside missing?? huuumm....Banana-Bread!
Heres my recipe; a perfect winter warmer. With ice cream, custard, jam or whatever you fancy for dessert. Or a nice layer of butter for breakfast. A lovely versitile bake smile

- Pre heat oven 175*c & butter/ lighly flour your tin....
- Whisk 160g brown sugar, 4tbsp melted butter and 2 eggs

- Sieve 180g plain flour, 2tsp baking powder and 1tsp salt

- Squish 4 ripe (the blacker the better)

- Fold/ combine all above, with a good squeeze of honey and whatever else you fancy ( cinnamon, walnuts, choc chips, sultanas )

- Bake for an hour and enjoy! YUM smile

Re: Whats For Supper?

Welcome to the forum nadia-ana-louis smile

what a lovely first post.
The weather is cold here and getting colder .
We are having a hot warming vegetable soup and there will also be sausage sandwiches for my darling.

edit.... 'which bowl would you like for the soup ?' said I
and he went to the cupboard, got out a bowl and passed it to me and as he did he said...
"This one looks about the right size without being too greedy "

What he had passed me was a small sized mixing bowl  !

lol  lol  lol at least he like vegetable soup
He could not understand why I burst into laughter.
