Re: Ask me a cooking question
I'm not familiar with this product either. But what, as mummza asked, are the handles made from? I'd guess, given what you describe has happened, that they are not mainly made of metal. If this is the case, I would not have put them in the dishwasher. More importantly, what did the "care/ cleaning" instructions that came with the cutlery have to say?

The quick lemon pickle, can I bottle it as I have a whole bag of lemons which I do not want to waste. It looked so delicious.

Re: Ask me a cooking question
I watched a 15 minute recipe on Channel 4 on Friday. I've been looking forward all weekend to make keralan veggie curry. I copied the recipe and went shopping at Sainsburys. It is a large store but I couldn't find the following:
1 heaped tsp black mustard seeds
1 heaped tsp fenugreek seeds
1 small handful of dried curry leaves
What's the point of showing these recipies if the ingredients are difficult/impossible to find.

welcome to the forum joe1892
Do you have a local Indian store near to you , if so you will find those spices really very easy to obtain.
I usually buy the spices for making curries from the Asian food stores as the turn over of spices are good so the spices are fresher and the prices are cheaper than in the supermarket .
The spices from the Asian food stores usually come in celophane packets rather than in jars and so after opening I either put a clip on the opening or wmpty the contents into a clean dry lidded jam jar.
Not all supermarkets carry a full range of spices whuch may be why they were not in the branch you shop at.
I hop that this has been of some help.

Re: Ask me a cooking question
Hi Jamie,
I have to cook a 3 course meal for 28 people for christmas. Does you have some ideas of what to cook that is suitable for 28 people and easy to make?
Hope to hear from you.
