We just bought ourselves an early Christmas gift - a new food processor. The stem for the slicing blades needs replacing on our twenty year old processor, but parts aren't available for this model any longer.

The pasta roller attachments are really nice. I am debating about getting the ice cream attachment.

Oh, very nice indeed!
I need to get my hands on one of those as well. I like making bread dough and such, but unfortunately I don't make it us much as I would like because my hand gets easily injured. A machine is just what I would need.

Re: The problem with Holiday shopping is.....
Our Christmas pressie to ourselves was a replacement breadmaker. Been using one (same make) for 12 years. Shame about the universally bad wheat crop though!!!! The flours for breadmaking is not at all good - not enough gluten. I've made a successful white loaf but the 2 wholemeal and granary loaves were a disaster. The manufacturer was very positive and helpful. Use Rapid Bake where possible; it makes a difference. Watch out for your gluten content in your bread flours folks - or wait until end of next summer, lol.

Can't believe that the mixer is still sitting in the same place....it must be lonely.
At least in the store people were probably walking by and fondling it

MsP go to that food grinder amazon link and click the "See all 16 customer images".
Looks like not worth the hassle.
I found this alternative but I buy a electric meat grinder for less then that!
