Re: Whats For Supper?
loaded pizza made on gf crust - proscuitto, sopprasetta, provolone, asiago, mozzarella, red bell pepper, red onion, mushrooms and tomato sauce. Turned out really well - those gf crusts stay crisp.
I made center cut organic pork ribs in the slow cooker overnight with Kansas City style bbq sauce that is loaded with tamarind (Wegman's brand) cooked over potatoes, Crispin apples, carrots and onions. I'm letting everything chill in the fridge so I can de-fat the sauce. I'll have to take some of that Wegman's sauce home. Other sides - mixed field greens, corn-on-the-cob, watermelon.

Feeling like death itself yesterday..........just ate a banana all day!
Today we have something simple to cook..........lots of stir-fried veg with some Crispy Beef in Black Bean Sauce.
Melon to follow for anyone that wants it.

Re: Whats For Supper?
Wish I could find a decent gf pizza crust here. So miss calzone, especially.
Kinda ironic that someone who started a sourdough thread here five/six years ago cannot eat the stuff/"staff of life".
Minnie, hope you're feeling better real soon.
Gave myself the Fluvax (flu vaccine) a week or so ago. Tempting fate or whatever? Think I'll have engraved on my headstone "She ate more than enough New York Penicillin" ![]()

I will see if I can fix it eventually , or just redraw .
I like your avatar just the way it is............eccentric!

Maree, fresh gf pasta sheets are sold in the U.S., but I can't find them in any stores I use. This pizza base is a firm crust, you can't shape it. It's so-so, but doesn't really compare to an excellent wheat dough. Most of the gf products we have available are organic and whole grain, which is nice. There are a few that are just horrid and you're basically eating a pound of highly refined starches which feels like a brick in the tum. Many products are ridiculously over-priced. Generally, I choose to avoid rather than to re-create dishes made from wheat. The pastas are excellent though - quinoa in particular.
