Re: Spam and advertising on the Forums
My post would make more sense to those who'd seen the spam posts prior to it.

Re: Spam and advertising on the Forums
Hi guys,
As ever, thanks to everybody who is alerting us to spam in the forums. Rest assured they are being checked (although please bear in mind there's a lot going on in the office at the moment what with Danny moving and the site relaunching).
We absolutely won't hesitate to block obvious spammers and spambots, but we won't be outright banning or deleting users if they're genuinely interacting whilst promoting their blog or website if it relates to the topic that they're posting about. Every post that's flagged is looked at and considered, however, and if we agree that a user is becoming problematic or shamelessly promoting with no thought to interacting then we won't hesitate to remove them and their posts from the forums.
Thank you all again for your help in maintaining these forums; it's hugely appreciated ![]()

Re: Spam and advertising on the Forums
Hi Danny and Merlin, don't know if you guys have any input into the Facebook page but big big problems there at the moment, multiple repetitions of posts from Jamie. My page is chocabloc with repetitions. Presuming you've been hacked. It's p###Ing people off big time. Hope you can get a message through. Thanks guys. :-)

Re: Spam and advertising on the Forums
Hi guys,
I know there's been a huge amount of spam coming in since the relaunch - I am staying on top of it, believe me; if it doesn't disappear immediately it just means I'm somewhere else.
I really do appreciate everybody who's flagging it, it's incredibly helpful.
Thanks,
M x
