Fashion Week in London - let's talk stylish food
So, as you may or may not be aware, London is currently hosting Fashion Week, an enormous bi-yearly event that takes place in the major fashion capitals of the world: Paris, Milan, New York and our own capital. Being far more a foodie than a 'dedicated follower of fashion', however, I thought it would be fun to get people talking about what they think are the most stylish, sexy dishes in the world. What's it for you? Baked pears? Oysters, perhaps? A square of baklava dripping in honey?
Personally, I've found a lot of inspiration for beautiful food presentation in some of Jamie's recipes, and to this day I think one of the most stylish things I've ever served was a fig salad from the first Jamie book I ever owned - http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/frui … -the-world
I'm also incredibly fond of the Glasgow potato scones and salmon recipe. So simple, and so easy to make pretty when served at breakfast beside a superb cup of coffee. http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/fish … ked-salmon
Every foodie has a slightly different taste in food presentation though, I've found, and something I'd find really interesting is seeing any really beautifully-presented dishes you guys have created. The easiest way to do this is to use the submit form on Jamie's blog at http://officialjamieoliver.tumblr.com/.

Citrus Marinated local Trout over top of sprouts and micro greens with a sesame Mirin Vinaigrette

For me, not only stylish but exotic, was caviar (my first taste) and port fed Stilton. All available at a very posh buffet luncheon given for VIP customers from over the world, at my firm.
The caviar was just a word before trying it, designed for those with money. The port fed Stilton was so delicious I went back to try and scrounge some more - with success! I've made this myself since.

Tattie Scones, sexy. Erm Actually thinking about it with the coffee, Heston’s Vanilla bacon.
The sexiest food I have had was from Clare Smyth at Gordon's.

pictures and menu.
Back at home caramelised banana Crème Bavoire has been a winner!
For some reason Vanilla and cream sounds sexy.
Ha it seems to be all French.
Sticky Toffee Pudding Clotted Cream, after sex, heaven, seriously try it. Watch it though it’s very hot.
Probably a nice Asian salad, colourful, aromatic, tasty, healthy, sexy. When British Lobster is involved in the mix, well that’s it.
Then its chocolate, William Curley, the dessert bar, this places oozes sex!!

Using Amedi in his work, http://www.amedei.com/ a bar of No. 9 well that’s a bit like Love Potion number 9 for those of us old enough to remember the song.
On a Jamie note: The lightest Gnochi, via 15 London, was just that , sublime! Both 15 Cornwall meals have also had sexy elements to them.
