Fun Things to Do with Food Processor

Hello again everyone:

I am seeking ideas about your favorite recipes or functions utilizing your food processors. If you have a favorite recipe, or favorite use for your food processor, please feel free to post a response describing the same. Thanks in advance for your information.

Re: Fun Things to Do with Food Processor

I use my food processior a lot but mstly use it sor slicing and grating or chopping things, it lives on the kitchen worktop and gets used pretty much every day. I use it more as a help so that I can manage to make the recipe that I am cooking rather than making a whole recipe in it.
I have used it to make the pork filling that goes into traditional pork pies, as you need to use pork shoulder , some extra fat and sage that gets minced together, I dont have a mincer so I use the food processor.
Also I use it for making curry /sauces I cook the ingredients in a pan then wizz them up in the food processor.

Re: Fun Things to Do with Food Processor

I use the food processor for these things:

Pesto, homemade pasta dough, pie dough, slicing potatoes for potatoes dauphinoise, grating cheese, chopping vegetables very finely for making sauces and Jamie's 'Thirty Minute Meals' fish cakes, shredding cabbage and other vegetables.

I tend to use the blender for pureeing foods like gazpacho, but I haven't tried the new food processor yet to see if it does a decent job with more liquid foods.

I generally use the food processor for chopping and dicing purposes. Apart from this I make fruit juices and soups using this food processor.

I used to make bread/pizza/ focaccia dough in it (as well as the "usual" tasks that a food processor is used for).

instant ice cream! fat free milk + frozen blueberries / strawberries + vanilla = best summer cooler ever.

also, although the bread bacteria hates being cut with blades (just like when you yell at water it becomes ugly), then a 3-day dough needs some processor treatment when making bread crisps. I know it is cruel giving the bacteria a shock, but I have found it works really well like that.

Really?  I have never actually used my FP for slicing and chopping and shredding.  I always wanted to but I feel like it'd be a hassle to wash up.  Like what do you chop and slice and shred?  Can you pass lettuce through?
