christmas mincemeat

i want to make a big batch this year as it ran out to quick last year.problem is i dont have enough jars to store it in..can i use tupperware boxes or will it do anything to it while maturing...thanks

I would stick with glass jars if I were you as you are able to sterilise these adequately . I don't think you could do the same with plastic boxes .

I am sure if you asked around your friends then used jam jars with start to be saved and passed on to you .

Alternatively the Le parfait snap top lidded glass jars are a great buy and can be reused year after year .
They are easy to sterilise and buy replacement rubber seals for .

I have friends and family collecting jars and bottles for me all year round. (I don't use many jarred products myself).

Mummza, I love Le Parfait jars but they cost a fortune here (if you can find them!). There are similar (cheaper) jars available if you know where to look but the quality is not there.
