At Jamie's Italian we're proud of the sourcing of all of our products. Our suppliers are passionate about their produce and their passion comes from the fact these are family businesses with food knowledge being passed from generation to generation. Being able to support Italian family tradition in this way means really embracing the essence of Italian culture and staying true to the ethos of Jamie's Italian.
One of our signature dishes is the beautiful meat anti pasti plank; a mouth watering selection of fantastic cured meats ranging from the spicy schiacciata piccante to the distinctive Tuscan fennel salami and the traditional (and most well known) - San Daniele Prosciutto ham. The company that provide us with the majority of these meats is Levoni; a small company that's grown over time. The family is involved in the breeding, quality control and slaughter of the livestock and only the highest standards are adhered to. The family began producing meats in 1911 when Ezekial Levoni rented a small delicatessen producing high quality sausages to the people of Milan. He became adamant that he would never compromise on quality and he would always respect tradition, in fact he was so sure about this that the Levoni logo was born - a flying pig. Levoni still believe that the day they make such a compromise on quality is the day that pigs will fly.
At Jamie's Italian we want to show case these meats for what they are - really beautiful examples of traditional Italian curing. We display them for all the customers to see as they walk past our open anti pasti kitchen. All of the salumi on our meat planks is sliced to order, giving a fresher, moister meat and an incredible smell.
