Spring is here and with it comes new seasonal changes to the menu making it our most exciting and innovative yet!

Jamie's created some amazing new dishes to keep our talented chefs well and truly challenged.  We've kept the favourites  but added some real show stoppers - Cornish spider crab, a scallop and squid ink linguine not to mention a whopping 28oz T bone steak (designed to share and certainly not for the faint hearted!)

Another one of the interesting additions is smoky mozzarella arancini which we've added to our anti pasti dishes.  Arancini is a traditional Sicilian dish thought to date back to the tenth century when, similar to paella, large dishes of rice mixed with different meats and vegetables were placed in the centre of the table and people would take handfuls, moulding it into ball shapes before eating.  When a pretty savvy Roman Emperor called Frederick realised a couple of hundred years later that by covering these balls of rice in breadcrumbs and frying them they'd keep for longer and he could take them on his long hunting trips, the traditional arancini changed forever.  Nowadays you're likely to find arancini everywhere in Sicily filled with all sorts of things from meat, peas and mozzarella (arancini con ragu) to mushrooms (arancini con funghi) and aubergine (arancini con melanzane).  It's still a really typical example of food eaten on the move.  Visit your nearest Jamie's Italian and try our arancini as well as other delicious additions to our menu.
