Q&A
“I’d like to work at Jamie’s Italian / but I’m still at school”

We’re always looking for talent in every area of the restaurant – enthusiasm, plus great attitude, plus of course, some relevant experience. At Jamie’s Italian, most of our positions are full time so you’d need to be able to commit 100% to this as your main job. You must be 16 or over, 18 if you’re serving customers, so if you’re under 16, please be patient and don’t apply yet – we’ll be here for many years to come! There are some part-time positions too – but the same age criteria applies. These get filled quickly although there’s usually a waiting list with a healthy turnover so don’t be afraid to put your name down.

If you fit the bill and would like to apply, please go to the jobs section of the website and take it from there. Or, if you’re passing the restaurant, pop in with your CV and impress us in person! When we have a suitable vacancy, we’ll be in touch right away.
Once we’re open and running smoothly (which is only fair – we need to make sure we’re performing at the top of our game before we try to help you!), we will start looking at applications. You’ll need to apply to the restaurant direct and be very clear about which area you would like to gain experience in. Sadly, we can’t offer everyone this opportunity so be sure to make your CV and cover letter as outstanding as possible! Watch this website for relevant addresses.
“I’m a local supplier who would like to supply Jamie’s Italian”

We’ve been planning Jamie’s Italian for months now and have already identified our list of suppliers, based on their ability to provide high quality produce that is accessible to our proposed group of restaurants and the authenticity which is essential to our menu. If you are a local supplier, please send details of what you produce direct to the restaurant, for the attention of our Head Chef. We will review the menu on a regular basis and if the need for a new supplier arises, there may be an opportunity to get involved.
I’d like to book a table

We want everyone who comes to Jamie’s Italian to have a great time. The restaurant will be relaxed and informal, open all day, serving fantastic food from a totally flexible menu. In order to make the experience as accessible as possible, we’re not taking bookings. You simply need to come along to the restaurant at a time that suits you and we’ll get you a table as soon as we possibly can. For parties of 8 people or more, we are able to reserve a certain number of tables although, depending on what time you book, we may need to ask for the table back at certain time. Please contact the restaurant by phone. Check this website for dates and relevant telephone numbers.
“I’m studying catering / hospitality and would like to get some work experience at Jamie’s Italian”
We would love to offer work experience placements at Jamie’s Italian and there’s a lot of interest already.
