The location of Jamie’s Ministry of Food Geelong has been unveiled today, situated centrally in the main street of Geelong, positioned at 106 Moorabool Street, Geelong.
Easily accessible the Centre has the Bus and Taxi terminal on the doorstep and is a 5 minute walk from the train station.
Sitting directly opposite Market Square, the centre will be a thriving fixture in the city when it opens its doors to the public in an effort to help the community get back to basics in the kitchen, and teach participants how to prepare healthy food with fresh ingredients.
The concept is based on a local philosophy whereby it recruits local food trainers and volunteers, sources local produce from suppliers and is supported by local businesses, all for the benefit of the local community.
The newly announced centre in Geelong will run a 10-week cooking course, comprising of a 90 minute cooking class per week. Courses will be available 7 days a week.
The Victorian Government has committed $2.97 million to The Good Foundation to support the delivery of the Program in Victoria. The Good Foundation will work with The Good Guys and other local partners to provide an additional $2.54 million towards the community focused program.
