Jamie's Ministry of Food

VICTORIA

The Jamie’s Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen is a purpose built, fully equipped Mobile Kitchen classroom on wheels, designed to delivery practical cooking classes to communities in metropolitan and regional areas across Victoria. The program aims to give as many people as possible the tools and information they need to be able to make better food choices, so we can ensure healthier and happier communities.

Jamie’s Ministry of Food is part of Healthy Together Victoria, a jointly funded initiative of the State Government of Victoria and the Australian Government. As part of this initiative the Mobile Kitchen will visit 11 Prevention locations over the next 2.5 years.

The program consists of a 5 week cooking course with participants attending a 90 minute class each week. Classes are led by a team of dedicated Jamie’s Ministry of Food Trainers and are completely hands on, so participants get to see, smell, feel and taste everything they cook. Each week participants learn to cook simple, healthy and tasty meals using fresh ingredients, as well as picking up some of Jamie’s tips and hints.
