Guy White
Guy designed the Pop crockery range for Jme with the aim of creating an everyday robust range out of soft tactile shapes. When all the items are stacked together the range creates a ripple, explains Guy, and the dots remind me of disprins in water bubbling to the surface! Guy has specialised in ceramics since art school and worked in Stoke-On-Trent at the heart of the pottery industry before starting his own company, Guy White Product & Graphic Design. Now based in Frankfurt, Germany, he works across a range of materials and product areas from bathroom accessories to kitchen knives, and would advise budding designers not to limit themselves to a single discipline: Study product design and learn to think in three dimensions first, then you can expand into any material, whether its wood, metal, plastic or porcelain. If you weren't a designer you'd be?
