What inspires you?

Life in general – there are tremendous things all around, you just need to walk with your eyes open.

City slicker or country bumpkin?

I love cities for the museums and galleries, but I’m always happy to come

home and walk my labrador.

Favourite dish to cook?

Jamie’s fish pie! I also make a good roast dinner, and chili eggs for me and my

wife.

Favourite piece of design?

My absolute favourite is the Dualit toaster, because when I come back from

the Far East I crave marmite on toast with a cup of tea!
