Somewhere between a bread and a cake, this classic Italian Christmas treat is studded with festive sultanas and sweet candied peel. The secret to good baking is patience, and this panettone is left to rise in its own time, with natural yeast to make a lovely moist cakey bread. Cut it into thick wedges and serve with sweet wine, hot coffee or tea. Traditionally made in Italy. 500g.
