ubuntu pinch pot, white

The product code is SKU: 100382

Ubuntu is the Zulu word for 'humanity' – a vital ingredient in the making of this tiny pot. They're made by South African ceramist Anthony Shapiro and a team of local potters. After taking time out from his career to stay on a Buddhist Retreat, Anthony took a new approach to his work. He now combines his love of ceramics with a programme that sustains the community, teaching potting skills and creating jobs for local people. Sitting on top of this pot is the Nguni bull, symbol of status and respect and an important part of Zulu wedding rituals.
