Ex fifteen's trainee Aaron Craze has found his own style and is cooking up cracking international street food across London for urban, underground events for his own show, Rude Boy Food to be shown on the Good Food channel in November.

So Aaron, why street food?
Most of us think of street food as your dodgy burger with brown lettuce and a floppy patty from a suspect stall on the way home from the pub. But I grew up in a multi cultural part of west London where you could get anything you liked. As a kid I loved buying jerk chicken on Shepherd's Bush Road or tucking into some of my dad's curry when he'd got lucky at the bookies. I didn't go abroad until I joined Jamie's fifteen Foundation, but growing up in Hammersmith in the 80s meant I could taste different countries culture on the street corner.

How would you describe you style of cooking?
I'm not locked into a style – my food breaks the rules and that's why I love street food as it's not pretentious – it's real food that's quick and tasty.

What is your show about?
My life really. Basically it's a real cooking show set in and around London where I make fun, sociable food for my mates. I cook a Japanese barbeque for my friends' parkour jam in Southend; I cook plantain chips and fried fish at the Notting Hill Carnival – seriously, Caribbean food is Britain's best kept secret – it's incredible.

Aaron's is in the midst of filming 10 episodes of Rude Boy Food. Next up he's at Brighton's White Air Extreme Sports Festival where he'll be cooking great fresh seafood for his adrenalin fuelled mates as they have a go at mountain boarding, kite surfacing and zorbing.
